Ramblings

I have been lazy on the blogging lately, not sure why. Actually I know why, I have been lazy

Training has been good. I cant help but say that my bench sucks ass. I thought I was stronger than what I was, but that thought has been put to rest for now.

I will work and do what I need to do to accomplish my goal. And another has been added to my list.

Strongman. I am really opening myself up to what my body can do and is capable of. I am seeing that I can take a lot as long as I eat and rest. It's funny as I have been looking at videos of Derek Poundstone on Youtube and he is 'beast ' personified. The amount of strength he has is staggering and it never seems to go away. That's what I want. I'm still going to do bodybuilding, but getting my strength up is highly imprtant so I can get that look that so many other thick bodybuilders have.

School is school. Math sucks, but when does it not suck.

I also purchsed Westside Barbell's Book of Methods. A lot of science, but a lot of info. So expect to be a beast come meet time.

You and I suck garnde bolas!

I have realized why people are in the position they are in. Broke, angry, and frustrated. In fact, it is two reasons.

You and I SUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Now before you start throwing your computer at the wall and start calling me a jackass, at least hear me out.

As people in modern society, we all feel the need to exert control over something. Lately, more and more of us have been losing control over things we though we had control over. Our jobs, retirement funds and finances. With that being said, we have no control over what happens with the economy and job sector. Try your best to deal with it.

Now onto the reason why you and I suck.

Because of what is happening in the world, we blame everything that happens to us on the mess the country has been going through.

"I was late for my class.....George Bush did it"

"I lost my car keys....I hate the subprime mortgage lending"

People....get your head out of your ass. You cannot blame everything on everyone. If you have a job...do what they tell you and shut the fuck up so you can keep it.

If you dont have one...keep looking, there is SOMETHING out there.

Just because you suck, doe's not mean your life has to

I can hear it already.

There Dave goes posting all his "motivation BS".

To the critics let me ask...

NO, not ask because I don't care what your answer is.

Stop and think...

How much better off are you right now than you were last year at this time?

Oh, wait, sorry, I forgot. That was all someone else's fault. You have NOTHING to do with it. Right? or Right!

Trust me I have my own share of excuses for many things I didn't accomplish last year but I am reminded of the real reason every time I look in the mirror. I however and very grateful for all the things I did accomplish and am reminded of them every time I look at the people closest to me.

What Is Motivation and How to Strengthen It
By Remez Sasson

Motivation is the inner power or energy that pushes one toward performing a certain action. Motivation has much to do with desire and ambition, and if they are absent, motivation is absent too.

Often, a person has the desire and ambition to get something done or achieve a certain goal, but lacks the push, the initiative and the willingness to take action. This shows a lack of motivation and inner drive.

Motivation strengthens the ambition, increases initiative and gives direction, courage, energy and the persistence to follow one's goals. A motivated person takes action and do whatever it needs to achieve his/her goals.

Motivation is usually strong, when one has a vision, a clear mental image of a certain situation or achievement, and also a strong desire to materialize it. In this case motivation pushes one forward, toward taking action and making the vision a reality.

Motivation can be applied to every action and goal. It could be motivation to study a foreign language, to get good grades at school, bake a cake, write a poem, take a walk everyday, make more money, get a better job, buy a new house, own a business or become a writer, a doctor or a lawyer. Motivation is present whenever there is a clear vision, precise knowledge of what one wants to do, a strong desire and faith in one's abilities.

Actually, motivation is one of the most important keys to success. Lack of motivation either does not bring results or brings only mediocre results, whereas motivation brings faster, better and bigger results. Compare a student who lacks motivation and who hardly studies, to a student who is highly motivated, and who devotes many hours to his studies. They will get absolutely different grades.

Lack of motivation shows lack of enthusiasm, zest and ambition, whereas the possession of motivation makes one full of life, and willng to do whatever it takes to achieve what one sets out to do. A motivated person is a happier person, more energetic, and sees the positive end result in his/her mind.

What can you do to enhance your motivation and awaken the power that will push you toward accomplishing your dreams, small and big? Here are a few suggestions:

1. Set a goal. If you have a major goal, it would be a good idea if you split it into several minor goals, each leading to your major goal. In this way, you will find it easier to motivate yourself, as you will not feel overwhelmed, and the goal would seem more feasible and easier to accomplish.

2. Understand that finishing what you start is important. Hammer into your mind that whatever you start you have to finish. Develop the habit of going to the finish line.

3. Socialize with others of similar interest. Motivation and positive attitudes are contagious. Associate with motivated people, who share your interests.

4. Never procrastinate anything. Procrastination leads to laziness, and laziness leads to lack of motivation.

5. Persistence, patience and not giving up in spite of failure strengthen the motivation to succeed.

6. Read about the subjects of your interest. This will keep your enthusiasm and ambition alive.

7. Constantly affirm to yourself that you can and will succeed.

8. Look at photos of what you want to do, get or achieve.

9. Visualize your goals with happiness and joy.

Remember, if a certain goal is really important, you need motivation to keep you going.

This is from ELITEFTS.COM.

Dave Tate posted this and I find that we go through life with little to no reason as to why we are doing something. Do we have fun with what we do. For the majority of us, we dont, but we have to power to change that.

We have to have the motivation to get to our goals. That takes sweat and some tears, but we can do it. I will be using this as motivation to get my personal training certification. I have learned so much from people while I have been in the iron game, that it would be wrong for me not to share and help other people accomplish their fitness and athletic goals. My ultimate goal is to be certified strength and conditioning specialist. We will see how that works out.
